Surviving COVID: A Personal Journey of Faith and Healing - August 2021

When COVID spiked in Cebu August of 2021, I was confined for two weeks in a hospital. I was positive.

After release, it was a long and painstaking recovery...other symptoms popped up. There was no let-up...the worrying continued.

My reflections on those one of the darkest days of my life.

Surviving COVID: A Personal Journey of Faith and Healing

Faith Reflections I

 I.

I prayed to God for rain today.

To cool the earth for a while

It did. It rained, only showers though.

Enough, knowing God replied.

  II.

These carried me through..

...thanking God as you wake up each day

...Bible Verses are a great source of inspiration

...create a routine of things to do to keep your mind busy

...listen to your body and pray

...in your heart thank those who aided you

...free your mind and sleep knowing Jesus covers you

with His mantle of  protection as you rest

    in His Awesome Grace.

    Thank you, Lord.

Faith Reflections II

Today, it rained again

Felt grateful, overjoyed even.

Here comes the rain.

Here comes a blessing.

How long was it

When we have taken time out,

To step aside for a while

And be happy of things that matter.

We are slow.

Why need a wake up call

It is there...they're everywhere

I'll open my eyes. I'll be grateful.

Faith Reflections III

Salamat, Ginoo, Ikaw ang tuburan

Sa grasya

Nabuhi kami sa imong hatag

Sa adlaw adlaw.

Ang tanang pagsulay

Nagtudlo kanamo

Sa pagsalig kanimo

Ug dili sa among kaugalingong kusog.

 Sa pagsangpit kanimo

Sa tanang panginahanglan

Ug pagdayeg kanimo

Hinaut dili mo kami talikdan

Bendisyonan mo unta kami kanunay.

Ikaw ang among Labawng Makagagahum

O Hesus, panalipdi kami kanunay.

Amen.
