that God has made?
2. Video Presentation: All Things
Bright and Beautiful by Cecil Frances

things He has given us? How can we
show that we thank Him for all
these things He has created? How
do we take care of His creation?
Analysis
1. Look at the 1st stanza of the poem,
what two words at the end of each
line rhyme or have the same ending
sound? Teacher writes on the board
the pairs of rhyming words found
in the 1st stanza. (Teacher do the
same with the other stanzas.)
2. Pupils read the rhyming words
listed on the board.
Ex. beautiful - wonderful
small - all
sings - wings
3. Ask: Look at the pairs of words.
Do they have the same ending
sound?
What do we call words having the
same ending sound?
Abstraction/Generalization
1. Words having the same ending
sound are called Rhyming Words.
2. Can you give examples of
rhyming words?
Practice
Application
1. Interactive Video: Pupils read
the sample rhyming words
in the video.

Teacher writes 5 pairs of rhyming
words at the back of 10 flower

facing the board. Teacher calls a
pupil to flip open 2 flower cut outs.
If the pupil flips open the wrong
pair, she places it back again on
the board, then Teacher calls on
another pupil. Pupils should
remember which flowers are
a pair.
