Kinder to Grade 10 called 

the Matatag K-10 has been recently

launched.

K-12 curriculum.

areas/competencies of the current

the development of foundational skills

such as literacy, numeracy and

It means stable, steady, solid, firm, 

established, unyielding, adamant


πŸ“Œ Slogan of Matatag Curriculum:

Bansang Makabata, Batang 

Makabansa meaning, that programs

and reforms are intentionally tailored

to produce competent, job-ready,

active, responsible, and patriotic

citizens.

































πŸ“Œ What are the benefits of the 

Matatag K - 10 curriculum?

* arrest learning losses (mostly

attributed to the 2 year pandemic)

* reduce the number of learning

competencies by 70%

* revised the line up of subjects in

Grades 1 and 2 to improve early

mastery of numeracy and literacy


πŸ“Œ What are the areas of Matatag 

Learning? The learning areas in the

early levels were cut from seven to

five to include:

πŸ“•Reading and Literacy

πŸ“’Math

πŸ“™Makabansa

πŸ“˜Good Manners and Right Conduct -

as institutionalized by Republic Act No.

11476 - GMRC and Values Education

Curriculum:

Grades 1 and 2 - five subjects

Grade 3 - six subjects

Grades 4 to 10 - eight subjects

with integration of Values Education

subject and peace concepts into the

grade levels

be implemented in SY 2024 -

2025 for Kindergarten, Grades 1,

4 and 7

regions of the country will begin
